GrimmSpeed's latest intercooler upgrade allows for you to easily move your intercooler to the front of your Subaru WRX STI! Moving the intercooler to the front allows for better cooling of the incoming air and helps with performance. Each intercooler is made of high quality cast aluminum end tanks and features a durable bar and plate construction. This carefully balanced design provides equal flow and minimizes boost pressure drop. All piping and hardware needed for the top to front mount intercooler conversion is included as well!

Each intercooler core is available in either silver or powder coated black. The steel bolt-on brackets make it easy to install and remove them if required. Each CNC mandrel bent pipe is beadrolled and designed with a large diameter for maximum flow. Each pipe is carefully routed to ensure it does not interfere or hit on any components.

Factory Bumper Beam Notes: As with most FMIC kits, the GrimmSpeed Front Mount Intercooler Upgrade Kit requires the removal of your factory bumper beam in order to fit its massive core. The factory bumper beam aids in chassis rigidity and adds reinforcement to your factory bumper cover. To help keep chassis deflection at bay and to keep any large dents out of your front fascia, GrimmSpeed offers an optional bumper bar. Thier bumper bar is constructed of thick mild steel, welded to robust mounting plates that are machined for weight savings. Each bar includes a welded-in tow hook receiver so you can continue to use your GrimmSpeed License Plate Relocation Kit. The entire bumper bar is covered in a durable black powder coat for good looks and longevity! NOTE: Even though this bumper bar is built to last it is NOT intended to be used as a substitute for the OEM crash protection, nor is it intended to be used for vehicle recovery.
