The NRG Acrylic Matsuri Style Steering Wheel pays homage to the street drifter aesthetic that was born on the streets of Japan, namely Dikoku Futo park. The cars typically driven at these gatherings were built to have a flashy aesthetic that would play well with the bright street lamps that would illuminate the loading-dock streets.
This Matsuri style was further popularized in drift festivals, or Drift Matsuri events, that put a focus on vehicle aesthetic and driver expression. Looking to bring a steering wheel that encompasses this JDM drift style, NRG, together with Prisma Lab, designed a wheel featuring a custom engraved rim enveloped in translucent acrylic and based on their classic 3 spoke hub.
Rigid Note: Rigid versions of this steering wheels are designed with thicker spokes and stronger welds. They are the ultimate in strength and durability among these steering wheels.
Fitment Notes: This steering wheel requires the use of a hub adapter. Steering wheels for vehicles with airbags in the factory steering wheel are generally recommended for racing purposes only (you will lose airbag functionality).
