IMPORTANT: Some vehicles have driver and/or passenger seat belts mounted to the factory seat base, instead of to the vehicle chassis. These Planted seat bases are generally not compatible with the factory seat belts that attach to the factory seat base. However, you are always free to use a custom harness setup instead of the factory seat belts, but extra modification will usually be required. The bottom line is that you need to make sure to check the factory mounting locations of both of your front seat belts to determine your setup. Keep in mind it is possible that your driver seat belt might mount to the chassis while your passenger one does not!

Planted seat bases are required to properly install aftermarket seats. Planted seat bases are laser cut from 3/16 inch thick steel and hand welded to ensure weld penetration for superior strength. Each Planted seat base goes through three levels of quality control to ensure very high quality standards. Each bracket is pre-slotted with hole patterns to be compatible with most major seat manufacturers. There is also extra space on the bracket for drilling your own hole pattern if using a slider with a less common hole pattern, or direct mounting a seat or side mount when eliminating sliders is preferred. Planted seat bases are all finished with a black powder coat.

Installation Notes: For a complete and safe install of a aftermarket seats, you will also need a seat hardware kit and optional slider set (if it does not already come with your seat).
